Community Guidelines

A guide to amazing things!

As per usual, the standard boilerplate of we reserve the right to change this applies. When we plan a change to our guidelines, we will always ask for feedback about the changes on our social media, if you want to be a part of something great, follow us on Twitter or join our Discord server!

We will give a reasonable amount of time before finalizing any changes to the Community Guidelines.

Sponsus is built for creators who want to get paid by their fans. These guidelines, in conjunction with our Terms of Service, provide advice that we hope make Sponsus an interesting, safe, and productive place to get paid by your fans.

How to be a good creator

Be yourself.

Use a nickname or real name while here if possible. Be “Luna” and not “CERUTECH LLC.” We love being on a first-name basis. This helps with building trust with your sponsors.

Be Civil.

If we want respect and civility to be the hallmarks of this community, we all have to strive to keep the feedback constructive. Please remember that on the other side of the window is another human, they deserve love and respect as much as you do, treat others how you would expect to be treated.

Be Respectful.

You wouldn't like it if you had your hard work being shared without credit. Respect the copyright of others. This means don't steal media (text, images, videos, audio) that other people have created and pass them off as your own. Luna will be very sad if you do this.

This is your community. Celebrate your creativity, be social and share what's important to you. See the world through others' eyes, participate, and expand your horizons!

How to get banned from Sponsus

If you do any of these, you may find that you are not welcome on Sponsus.

If you see photos or videos that you've created in another creators's feed, don't panic. This is probably just a misunderstanding and not malicious. A good first step is to contact them via direct messages and politely ask them to remove it. If that doesn’t work, you can contact Sponsus's DMCA officer by clicking here

This includes but is not limited to drug use, bestiality, and terrorism. If we find you doing it, your account will be deleted and we'll take appropriate action, which may include reporting you to law enforcement.

As a creator, you are given access to a lot of information about your sponsors. Please treat this information with care, any creator found using their sponsors data in an unethical way will have their account closed.

If the content enacts or calls for harm against any person that is real or otherwise representative of any individual or group, we reserve the right to have action against that content.

NSFW

NSFW content is allowed so long as it follows our guidelines. This means extreme and violent content is not allowed, however tasteful NSFW media is allowed. If your account is found to be posting NSFW content without proper tagging and flagging (setting the post as NSFW, etc) then we will take action.

Prohibited content

These are straight up banned on Sponsus and will not be tolerated. Your account will be terminated and your IP address blacklisted from viewing any of our services.
Sponsus staff reserve the right to flag and remove content that they feel comes too close to the descriptions in this list. If you feel that it might break one of the rules, then either dont post it or contact support.

  • Underage media. Any video, image, or text (referred to as media) depicting a minor in a sexual context is banned. If there is any underage content found on Sponsus, we will report to and cooperate with law enforcement with the goal of prosecuting to the fullest extent of the law.

When asking yourself if this work is in violation of this rule, ask yourself: “what does this character appear to be?” and “would a normal person who doesn't know anything else apart from this media think this character is a minor?”. If you start your explanation with “Technically, ...” then the media is in violation.

Context only matters if a character’s physique is ambiguous, their depiction could be teen or young adult, and even then by “context” we mean how they act/dress/live, not whatever their backstory technically is. We are aware that US laws are not a blanket ban that we have here, however if we were dragged into court, we would have an unwinnable case. Being in a grey area isn't enough when peddling something that unpopular, you either need to be firmly in the right or have a massive stockpile of lawyers. US free speech protection is strong, and for basically everything except CP being firmly in the right is exactly what we’d be. It’s a legal lighting rod in a way no other fetish art is.

If you have seen any CP or other predatory content on Sponsus, please click here to report it to CyberTip.
  • Hate speech. Any media deliberately targeting, or calling to harass any other person. This includes, but is not limited to, racism, sexism, bigotry, transphobia, and homophobia. This extends to you being apart of any organisation that actively does any of the above. Other acts of violence including animal abuse/cruelty will get you banned under this rule as well.

  • Real-life media. This includes photos and videos. We do not have the technical, or administration capability to monitor and ensure the safety of real life media on Sponsus.
  • Extreme NSFW content. Violent, or gruesome NSFW media are not allowed on Sponsus.
